Purpose of Services
Speech services in Early Intervention focus on building a child’s ability to understand and use language, communicate needs, and interact effectively in daily routines.
Therapy Approach
Therapists work through play-based activities to strengthen expressive language (sounds, words, sentences), receptive language (following directions), social communication, and feeding skills.
Session Targets
Sessions are individualized to the child’s developmental level and may target gestures, imitation, sound production, vocabulary growth, comprehension, and functional communication strategies.
Caregiver Coaching
Therapists coach caregivers as well, providing techniques to use at home so progress continues beyond the session and communication becomes part of the child’s everyday environment.
